The Skint Works is the brainchild of artist Simon Skint
“Art was really the only thing that gave me any passion in my school days. Well, that and smoking, skiving, girls and the occasional can of Special Brew. After being asked (not too politely) to leave school early by the powers that be for reasons in later life I now fully understand, my passion for art disappeared along with any qualifications I could have achieved”.
“After long careers in both the military and the nightclub industry, where I honed my smoking and drinking abilities, I finally discovered my passion for art again by picking up an airbrush to see what I could do with it. This led me to experimenting with every medium known to man and the rest, as they say, is history”.
“My work has been seen in various galleries around the world including London, Miami, LA and Sydney with many of my pieces now residing in private collections. I have also had countless works featured in numerous international art fairs. My style is simple: If it pops into my head and puts a smile on my face then I will paint or sculpt it. The outcome can possibly be offensive to some but it is all meant with good intentions and a little dose of dry humour”.
